Default Muffler Shops In Orange County,CA (Going dual exhaust)

Hey all, ive decided to make the switch to dual exhaust. i want to use the GT take offs. ive already got the right side on, but now i need to pickup the left and have all the tubeing done. but the places i went to get a quote at all want around 350$ just to run the exhaust. im wondering, if this is a good price? or does anyone know a good place to go?

If you have the other gt takeoff, theres a shop in Corona that'll fabricate the rest of it and install under $200. Myself and another guy I know had our duals done there. Its called jerls muffler or something like that.

I got my parts (x-pipe $95 and mid pipe $40) from rock-auto.com Installed everything in my garage with clamps, took to a muffler shop after for welding.
had them welded up for $25

you dont have to have everything fabricated of you don't want to I think $350 is a lot. $200 is more like it.

I just had my dual exhaust redone at Orange County Muffler in Costa Mesa (http://www.orangecountymuffler.com/).

I am really pleased with Mike's quality of work. I went with 409 stainless steel, mandrel bent pipes, and so it cost more than other shops (that use aluminized steel and crush bent). It was $300 for the custom pipes, but he's a pro and did it right. Not too many shops can do the mandrel bending.

So are you running a twin turbo V6, as your user name suggests? Or a N/A 4.0 V6?

If you want complete custom dual exhaust most places will charge 5-600 bucks which means they supply the mufflers. But if you have the axleback systems for both sides tell them that and that should drop the price dramatically.

+1 contact me or him for the part numbers. the x-pipe and the left hand exhaust cost $169.xx shipped to my door. i took a print out to all the local custom shops around here and the send me away laughing saying there was no way they could beat or even come close to that price just for those two parts. that plus

the left hand muffler you shouild have already bought - next to nothing
(seriously who sells just one gt take off?)
americanmuscle.com's two muffler hangers shipped -$59.99
cut the bumper yourself - free
= really #^@&ing cheap

Last edited by MoneyShot; Mar 25, 2010 at 06:31 PM. Reason: though you bought two mufflers

if you don't have a ton of money to spend on duals just buy the parts. I love my dual GT takeoffs!

Like I said, I just had them do the dual exhaust pipes. I already had the GT takeoffs. For the quality of work they did, and considering it was SS and mandrel bent, I think $300 was a good price.
