Default Best time to pick up a used 2010 sixxer?

Looking to buy my first car at 17 and really have my eyes set on a 2010 v6 (might go 2005-2009 GT or V6 but really like the 2010 redesign)

When would be the best time to look for ones that people traded in for 2011s?

Hoping to get one for ~16-18k with low miles.

I'd say right now. Every weekend here in San Diego there is at least one or two 2010 V6's for sale for $14K...brand freaking new! I plan to pick one up when I get back to San Diego this summer, because I'm out in Arizona right now for college. You seriously can't beat $14K for a brand new 2010 V6! Granted these cheap ones are just base models but, none the less it is a brand new car.

c'mon..14k for "new" 2010? Not likely (unless cars in general are that much cheaper in CA...Which is entirely possible)... Used and under 20k miles, sounds more likely. I bought mine for $17500.00 sport appearance pckg with 10k miles last month. Still a good deal for a car that went for 22-24k-ish new.

Ok... well $14,977, but still that is so cheap for a new car. Below is a link to the ad. I test drove the exact mustang they are advertising while I was home on spring break. I'm crossing my fingers they still have it on the lot in a month!

My local Ford dealer has about 10 of them right now in the $14k to $17K range. Miles vary between 6k to 12k miles. The deals are already out there

Ya I will be selling mine as soon as the prices for the 2011s come down. I only have 3k on mine, but I've had offers for 19k and 21k for mine already (mine is extremely unique, compared to others for various small reasons).

Actually, I have seen a lot of the 2010 v6's going for dirt cheap. They're going to be replaced by not only a way better engine next year, but the other cars in the 2010 v6 Mustang's class kill it.

yea which is kinda why I want to upgrade myself. I could spend the 5k on going FI, or go ahead and start with a better platform with more hp potential, along with increased fuel mileage

Yeah but even advertised at 14 (was after 3k in rebates/dealer cash if given)-17k add about 3k tax/title/reg not to mention most ppl finance, add another few grand and you're easily back in the 23k range when it's all said and done. Unless you got tier 1 credit.

And yeah, the 2011 6's motor should be better, but I personally never buy new models/motors in 1st production year. I think I'll hang on to the '10 until the '12's roll out.

But I agree that now and the next couple months is a good time to find the deals. I just think you can find even better deals used. There's sure to be alot of 10 buyer remorse bringing em back with really low miles. Dealers are gonna get flooded with 'em and will need to get rid of 'em somehow. I may look to upgrade to a low mileage '10 GT myself.

We've got a few used '10 V6's already, mostly premium pkg. models. Priced in the high teens for 'em, since they have leather, automatic, etc. No used GT's yet, 'till mine hits the lot next month, lol.
