I have an Electric Exhaust Cut-Out from QTP.
Best of both worlds....

as another member once put it... "sounds like something is about to explode". that pretty much sums up the V6 without a muff.

If cash is tight, you can always purchase a high performance single exhaust for a little more grumble. It is a lot less expensive than the duals. I have the Pypes Streetpro axleback. I also like the sound of the SLP's and MRT's. =-)

only thing worse than one muffler is no mufflers, get a louder muffler or duals. Without a muffler, our v6 sounds like s**t IMO.

Put that muffler back on. Or get a GT take off. Better yet, agreed with aboves, get the dual exhaust. Whichever way you go, put a muffler on your car.

Default Custom Exhaust Shop Northern VA

Hello,

I have been looking for a exhaust fabricator for weeks now and finally found one. I figured I would post this incase anyone else is in need of a good exhaust guy. So the rundown for my experience at Meineke located at 8164 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22309. I have a 2008 Mustang GT and had an axle-back aftermarket exhaust installed by another shop. After the installation I noticed that the alignment was all wrong and the exhaust looked terrible. They were unwilling to help me to try and modify the exhaust to make it fit properly. After spending literally weeks calling different shops for someone to help me I came across Meineke in Alexandria. From the start they were very nice on the phone and advised me to bring my car in. A tech named Jay looked at my exhaust and gave me different options of what he could do. In the end I wanted the exhaust to to line up correctly but also wanted it flush to the bumper because it stuck out way too far. Jay completely rebuilt my exhaust to make it fit perfect; cutting and re-welding my stainless steel exhaust even better than how it was originally designed! He knew exactly what I wanted and made sure it was exactly right. The price to rebuild my exhaust was less than to have it originally installed (bolted on) by another shop. Jay's exceptional expertise and outstanding customer service makes him a great asset to this branch. If you want a good fab guy I would recommend him.

P.S. Pypes "Pype bomb" exhaust was impossible to get aligned until I found Jay. I would not recommend buying them unless you want to go through the entire hassel I had to. Now it looks great; but for the amount of money and hassel I would recommend another brand.

The two words here MEINEKE and PYPES sums this experence all up.
Two things against you from the get go.
I would hope they used a TIG welder and the proper SS rod for the job?

Until the neighbors decide to take the law into their own hands and
put a potatoe up the mufflerless pipe or inflict some other sweet
damage. Do you have a locking gas cap or did you remove that also.
Dont be amazed when the foul words start embedding themselves
into your clearcoat. Can you say 'electric cut-out'.
BOBW best of both worlds

I think the exhaust that is now being drawn into your trunk area
is getting into the cabin area and clouding your brain. Have you
been getting more than frequent headaches?
