Yeah the whole thing sucks and no it really just snapped when a friend went to pull the seat belt over himself. I am just waiting crossing my fingers that when they get back to me they cover it.

How can this not be covered under warranty?!

Does this not resonate as a safety issue to the dealership?

If you car had been hit in an accident it probably would have snapped too, resulting in problems that are much bigger than a broken plastic piece--maybe broken bone pieces..

I was thinking that you were referring to the lever that pulls the seat up, I've seen those break on numerous different vehicles. This seems worse!

Tell the dealership this is a safety issue and to fix it asap.

Well guys.. The ford dealership I went to today had called me back around 5:30 tonight and told me that they can not cover the break with the warranty, and it would cost me $85 just alone in labor....

Looks like I am going to another dealership

Okay well I took my car to the dealership where I bought the car and they told me not a problem and to just bring in my car for a day and pick it up the next day.
Well I did that and they fixed the part at no charge and the warranty covered it
Just like new!

You had to leave your car at the dealer for an ENTIRE DAY just to have a simple plastic piece fixed? are you kidding me? Did they give you a loaner car?
