Borla vs Bassani
whats up forum? and yet again, another exhaust thread. i was just wondering if there was anyone out there who has been using the bassani power x crossover dual system or the Borla cat back with a x? how is the drone of each? which would you choose? is the borla worth the extra 300-400 bucks? this is for my 2010 v6. not worried too much about hp gains but more for overall sound quality. its my daily driver and i dont want a headache every time i go somewhere.

I know a guy with the bassani kit and it sounds good, a little drone around 45-55 mph. But it looks good and sounds good.
I have the Borla kit on mine. I love it! Little to no drone at all. I have had this exhaust on since last spring, and wouldn't trade it. Your link for the borla kit is a good price, but Jegs has it a little cheaper. http://www.jegs.com/i/Borla/157/140176K/10002/-1#
I bought mine from jegs and they had it on sale. I only paid like 700 for mine.
Hope that helps

I think the quality is a better, fitment is excellant. Its a higher grade SS with a million mile warranty. Borla exhaust systems are suppose to be "performance tuned," meaning they engineer it to produce a quality performance sound. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a v8 sound. I've had car guys tell me mine doesn't sound ricey, but at higher rmps sounds more exotic.
Its all opinion anyway, Borla is one of the best brands you can get. Its your opinion if its worth the extra. Most people won't pay that much for exhaust, I did because at the time it was on sale from 1600 to about 700. Two weeks later the price went back up, now its about 1000.
Good luck on your decision.

I have Borlas with a X-pipe. They sound really good, I get a lot of compliments on the sound. (That's also with LT's and high-flow cats.)
Drone is minimal to none. They are a little loud around 1500-2000 rpms, but not droney. At a little higher speeds/highway cruising, I barely hear them at all.
