Default blacking out running pony?

ok so im gonna be completely blacking out my car this summer and one thing i think would be really awesome would be to black out the running pony on the tri-bar badge thats located near the front fenders (link to clarify: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3463/...2f70844c2d.jpg) i looked online for a badge already like that and couldnt find anything. so what do yall suggest i use on the chrome to black it out? and could the same thing be done for the chrome circle on the trunk? thanks!

The only thing I can think of that won't flake, or scratch and withstand the elements would be to have it powder coated.

Satin black spray can. Can't remember the brand. But, use a good brand for plastic, and let it dry between coats.

Use the new spray paints for plastic.
Next question, how is it held in place?
With spring clips.
Most attaching pins are broke upon removal, BTW...
