RE: short throw shifter???
I have bad news regarding the Hurst Shifter. I was delighted to see that RPM listed the V6 for this shifter, so I called and the salesman verified that it would fit and placed an order immediately. When I received it and read the instructions, only the GT was mentioned and I decided to call Hurst and ask. A quick web search later I had the contact numbers for Mr. Gasket/Hurst and received the bad news that it WAS for the GT only. Called RPM again and talked to a different person explained my problem and his immediate response was “no way would the shifter fit the V6â€. Thankfully I was promptly issued a RA# and a UPS pickup so that I wouldn’t have to pay return shipping. At that time I suggested that they needed to correct their web page and as of the writing of this reply they have not done so. Pleased with RPM’s handling of the problem, less so with the lack of change to the webpage….. I hope this will keep others from ordering a product that WILL NOT FIT.

RE: short throw shifter???
I hope the aftermarket companies are listening up. I find that the shifter on my new '05 V6 is way too mushy (it could be that I traded in my '01 GT with a B&M short throw and got way too spoiled). Anyways, I need to feel that tight firm shift again, so PLEASE listen up AFTERMARKET COMPANIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anybody knows of a company please post!!!
