Default can a V6 beat a GT?

I have a V6 auto. I was wondering if I could ever beat a gt in the 1/4mile. Well without adding nos or a supercharger. Im just wondering if its gona be worth doing all these mods only to be still slower then a stock gt.

It would be pretty hard without nitrous or a supercharger. If you ran slicks with gears, t-lok, a CAI and a high octane tune, lower control arms, weight reduction, suspension upgrades etc. there is a chance against a stock GT. With some sort of F/I it wouldn't be that hard. It also depends on the year of the GT

Turbo?

One thing I've learned is that you will most likely never have the fastest car out there, so do what makes you happy with what you've got. I know that there are thousands upon thousands of cars out there that will smoke mine no problem. I mod my car because it makes me happy

you will beat gt if you spent tremendous amount of money
for intake, cat back, tune, gear, lsd, cams, internals, and list goes on...........
but for that much money, you can sell your v6 and buy newer gt.

I beat GTs all the time without my nitrous on street tires. The new 5.0s are crazy tho lol. But the old stock 4.6 are not as fast as the new 5.0s. My car got dynoed at 210.51 hp and 241.11 torque to the wheels without the nitrous and i have been told that, that is GT territory lol plus my V6 is lighter. I have noticed that after 1/4 they start running us down but stop light to stop light they cant keep up. i only ran once at the track without nitrous because i got a bye but it was a slow time because i left my nitrous tune in it instead of putting my race gas street tune. i raced a roush stage three on wednesday and i beat him but i used nitrous : ) but to answer your question yes you can but you will probably spend about 3000-5000 but still cheaper than buying a GT and its fun to $hit on the V8 guys

heads/cams can net you roughly 50 hp as well. basically, i would imagine this is what it would take...

CAI W/ 91 Tune
Heads/Cams
Underdrive pulley
Lightweight Driveshaft
4.10 Gears
T-lok
Dual exhaust, headers as well, X pipe (H pipes dont give as much hp/tq)

if you could find a lightweight flywheel i would say that to, but i dont know if they make a V6 flywheel.

i have no doubt that with that you should have no problem that you would beat him. id be shocked if you didnt.
