Default Getting ready for a shaker

Im getting ready to purchase a CDC shaker, my question for you guys out there is how difficult was the install? Also does anybody know if it is possible to keep my strut brace with it or will it have to go? Any pics of shakers and shaker mods would be great

I haven't done it yet, hopefully by the end of August I will. From what I understand it's pretty simple with a jigsaw. As far as the strut brace it will have to go.

Here's an install video-

Not worth the money IMO, I'd much rather have a whole different hood. I think you made the right choice!

You guys realize that hood braces on these cars are not really needed like on the previous body styles, right?
Especially since most of us don't use our cars on road race tracks...
They do look good but that's about it.

Which is what I hear all the time thats why I don't have one, how about the rear brace that goes in your trunk?

I agree about the strut tower braces on the coupes, not good for much but looks. But, on my ragtop, I swear I can tell the difference. I compared it on a particularly rough road (about anywhere in Illinois) and do believe it took some of that shake out when hitting potholes. If I didn't think so, I would be getting that shaker hood, for sure......

Yeah it's different on a vert since you have no upper structure. I'm sure it does help quite a bit on them.
