just put mine in last month, the install was easy took 45 min tops. the instructions say to pull the stock unit out though the top and most have dropped there driveshaft to get it out from the bottom. i found that if you get it as close as you can out the top, and use a flathead to get it that little bit it needs to clear the corners of the stock shifter works really well. the hole in the floor could have been like one mm bigger. the down side to it is that it rattles getting on the interstate, and is starting to do it in normal driving. i have read that gun oil gets rid of the rattle so im going to try that when i get a chance.

Hurst shifter is awesome. Wish I had installed it on day one.

Waited 3-4 months and 500 miles. Been loving it every minute since. you can cure the rattle with several different methods.

Gun Oil (thicker viscosity absorbs the rattles and creates a fluid film between the bushing and shifter handle)
or this

Another option is urethane bushings in place of your stock rubber ones in the shifter...

redfire6, how is the ride with your eibach kit? im sure the handling is a lot better, but do you sacrifice much comfort on the fwy or anything like that? beautiful car by the way.

I used copper washers on mine where the handle is bolted to the housing lever.
The ones provided by Hurst are schit.
I also used longer bolts that stick out to the other side and put a jam nut while cranking these suckers real tight.
I have done this on all the Hurst shifters I installed, none of them rattle.

The ride is no different then stock just a little firmer and you feel the road a little more but def. nothing terrible, its my daily driver and rides just fine. The only time you really feel it is with dips in the road like on the hwy when you cross over a bridge no lie you feel like your head is going to hit the roof if its a big enough dip but there is only one of those around here, all others are fine. It handles a little better little to no body roll, def. worth the money. And I appreciate it.

My Hurst is great on the track, makes for fast/confident shifts.
Mine rattles occasionally, very annoying. I'll try Pascal's tricks.
Anybody have problems jumping from 3rd to 5th gear with their Hurst?
Ever since I installed my shifter, going from 3rd to 5th is iffy.
Most times it's ok, but sometimes it wont engage right and 5th grinds.
Haven't had a chance to check it out, so I've been hitting all the gears on my way up.
