I got hit in the rear end in my 2010 and same thing, not even a scuff mark. Some kid following too close in traffic. These Mustangs are indestructable man.

Sadly my car was rear ended while parked and I still don't have it back from the shop.

Count your blessings!

My wife got rear ended last summer by a big Park Avenue. Really messed up the front of the park avenue. The 'Stang had a crease on both sides of the license plate, about 3" long. I couldn't believe it. They did put on a new bumper cover, but probably could have fixed the old one. Not complaining, just still shocked at how little the damage was. Even though it's a rag top, the Mustangs are 5 star rated in all three categories. Hope that's as bad as it ever gets......

This may sound weird, but check the sides of your rear bumper where they meet the body of your car, it could have actually moved your entire bumper.

I backed into a short pole I couldn't see, and while there was minimal damage to my bumper itself, it actually warped/shifted my entire bumper where there was a gap on the side of the bumper.
