Default auto up doesn't work

Swapped out the fuel filter today. As instructed I disconnected the battery. Once I reconnected it, my auto up function for the driver side window doesn't work anymore. I'm still able to hold the switch and get the window up and down, also power down works fine. Just need a new switch or is there more going on? Don't see how disonnecting the battery would have cause it to fail.

You'll figure out that you don't even need to do that half the time. Mine would reset themselves.

I was going to mention that but figured if I did, then he wouldn't figure out what that rectangular paper and cardboard thing was in that hole in the dash with the door covering it.

If I had a nickel for everytime I refered to reading the owners manual,
I could be in an early retirment right now.

It tells all about the functions as the S197s mustang.
Its almost scary the info it contains.
Like it was printed and included with every new stang
like Ford wanted it that way......
Thats the main purpose for the hole with the cover,
to hold the Owners Manual and protect it from damage...

And for those of you who cry 'it didnt come with a owners manual'...

LOL... fun thread actually. To be honest.... for quite a time, "Owners Manuals" were pretty much vacuous tomes alluding to how one should see the dealer for every last little complaint.

Of late, I would bet that 1/2 of the stuff in there is "product-liability" related warnings.

However...

After perusing a few more recent such publications, there's actually quite a bit of useful information in there. As to re-calibrating the auto-up on a window? I would have never even considered looking.

Daresay... I sure as hell would now.
