First, my Shaker 500 system had no sound a couple of weeks ago. I drove about 25 miles before I stopped, cut the car off, then started it again, and it worked. A couple of days ago, I start it up that morning and again, no sound, I drove to the end of the road, cut the car off, started it up and everything worked fine.

Anyone ever experienced this?

Second, this morning on the way to work I start getting the "check fuel cap" message. Well I stop, unscrew it, put it back on, turn it several times as it clicks and clicks, and clicks. Well, it comes on again, throughout the day I have taken it off 4-5 times and I still get the message.

Anyone know what is going on???

 

Might want to disconnect the battery for 30-45 minutes to allow the computer to reset.

 

Test the sheitter 500 then replace it...
As for the fuel cap thing....
