Get an 8.8 rearend out of a GT. You can buy them as new take offs from multiple sites with your choice gear ratios set from the factory. They have posi (t-lock) already, and they are genuine ford parts off of a Mustang.

Have you purchased new tires yet? Most people tend to overlook tires but they make a huge difference in performance and handling.

You have alot of great stuff already. You have crossed off most of the things on most member's wish lists.

Do you have any pics of your car for us?

MustangFirstCar- Sorry i didnt see your post, yes i have talon utra high performance tires. And the 8.8 differential sounds nice. How much woould all that cost? Where would i get it from? I thought about it but it seems expensive. I already dumped $3409.67 in my car already. If i didnt work at a body shop i would have spent $5900-$6300 dollars on my car.

8.8 takeoff rearends can run anywhere from 500-900 plus shipping and that depends on what gearing you want in them.

You can also try newtakeoff.com. They have several ratios to choose from. Also, if you buy one that doesn't have this "cobra flange pinion" required to fit onto a V6, you will need one. http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...-Pinion-Flange

I live in Chesapeake too....Great Bridge area. You know JLT Performance Parts is located in GB near the bridge. I thought about getting a CAI/Tune from them. That way they can set it at the shop.
