Switch out bulbs with LEDs is the cheapest I can think of.

GTI guy, I don't know if the model year GTI you had included this or not, but my 06 did and it is something I miss having. It is a one touch turn signal kit, $40, you can just tap the turn signal and it will blink 2-8 times depending on the setting and stop. When I got the GTI and noticed it I was kinda like, "that's dumb, I can just release it after I switch lanes." After having it for years tho, and now not having it in the 12 Mustang, I miss it.

+1 I did the same thing when I drove my girlfriend's tiguan. "what a stupid thing to have!....and yet so useful...why doesn't my mustang do this!?"

DIY shorty antenna is the cheapest mod I did. Just unscrewed the antenna, used pliers and a cloth to take the ball off. Cut the antenna using an angle grinder and ground down the end and just hammered the ball back onto the antenna. Some touch up paint later it looks awesome.

niteshades on the tails, third brake light and side marker lights are also fairly cheap.

Although sequentials aren't cheap, they're one of the coolest visual mods you can do.

Agreed, that is probably one of my favorite, if not my favorite, part of my car relating to its appearance. Very happy it is a feature on the new stangs.

If you're overweight, you could lose a few lbs, and that will make your car faster. You'll actually save money doing that.

K, how bout Nitrogen in the tires. $5 per tire.
I don't fool with air anymore and have gone in once
in 3 years for a shot of nitrogen.

If you can get N2 for your tires for $5 a pop, then I might... just MIGHT... consider it. Personally, I could spend the $20 on something better and since I tend to vary my tire pressure based on what I'm doing with the car, it's useless without my having my own tank.

I'm not a believer in any of the hype about N2 other than not having to dick with tire pressure, providing you don't adjust it like I do or have a slow leak that requires occassional attention.
