Default Xtreme Questions

So for all of you who have upgraded to the X-Charger Xtreme, could you please post your experiences?

What are you seeing for RWHP/RWTRQ? An additional 30, 40, 50?

I thought it was $1500, but it's listed at $2000. Any chances of a group buy?

It just seems like a lot of money after already putting so much into the original X.

+1 uh huh. I think they did a group buy when they first came out already. I think JimC with an automatic is putting down 292/315 with the Xtreme and he has an auto. Torch_Vert is putting down 330/335 or something like that with a 5-speed.

If they are going for that price, then I want in on it too.

I had 292 RWHP and 313 torque last time I did a base line pull. That is on a very rich mail order tune and there is a lot left on the table; Lidio said even with the super rich tune he could feel it pulling harder still. I need to get it in for a dyno tune, but figure I might as well wait until I pull this engine (181,600 miles on it as of yesterday) and drop in the 20,000 mile engine I have waiting to pick up.

But even the super rich tune picked up about 25 rwhp over the non-intercooled and 46 ft lb of torque. Plus the car is much more consistent at the track and not as prone to heat soak. So I think it was worth the money - it put me into the mid 12's last fall.

Wow, 25/46 on a super rich tune is nice. If I get the upgrade, I plan to get it dyno tuned at Injected. Guessing I could get quite a bit out of it.

And obxdude018 I meant $2,000 just for the upgrade.

These are my concerns too. $2,000 for an extra 40HP? I'm having a really hard time justifying that steep of a cost for those kind of numbers.

What do you mean? You trying to turn this into an X-Charger Vs Vortech Royal Rumble? LOL! HA! Let's go!!!

I've been thrilled with the X-Charger. It's been a phenomenal upgrade and no complaints what so ever.

But I know you could have saved a few hundred if I bought the X-Charger and Intercooler kit at once, together - I probably should have thought about more at the time of purchase.

According to Dave, the intercooler kit will bump the HP up to 385-400HP at the flywheel. I'm eyeballin' that 400 number...so tempting

Lol no no, no royal rumble. Just simply pointing out the fact that you have to pay an additional $2000 on top of $4500, which sucks.
