Default Pricing on a base 2012 V6 w/USAA

I went yesterday to Apple Ford trying to get USAA pricing on the base V6 with performance pack & 201A package.

When I enter the info in USAA with options and rebates, I get a price of about $21k. But, of course, the dealer tells me USAA is $400 under Invoice. Which comes to $24k - 2k in rebates = $22k.

I left the dealer and now looking for some advice/info on anyone who has used the USAA pricing for some opinions and info on what price you guys have gotten something similar for.

Thanks!

I did the same thing. I learned that the dealer awards a certain price based on invoice for USAA pricing. The pricing that USAA lists on the website wasn't exactly what the dealer priced it at, but I didn't have all the options included when I tried to price it out. I assumed the way it worked was that the price relative to invoice was the same, then they would just add the options to that price, but the dealership just takes off a certain amount of money. In the end, the price was higher than what USAA had quoted when I did it on the website, but it still ended up being cheaper than any other method I looked at. Maybe some dealers are different though, I'm not sure...

Hey fellow soldier,

I used USAA with my 2012 Stang less than a month ago. Just do what the paper says that you used to get your pricing, ask the dealer for their invoice. Keep in mind however even one more option on your built and priced stand may be different than what they have on hand at the dealer. Now also that price on your sheet assumes you qualify for ALL rebates and incentives. Like i think some of mine were for returning a leased vehicle. In which case... add 1k to the car. Regardless they are awesome, if you have any questions on that, CALL USAA! They are awesome and they will contact the dealer and work things out for you! Seriously, they have the BEST customer service and they really went out of there way to get my car. They had to have the dealer get it from up North in a different state and shipped down.

I hope it all works out for ya

Joe
