Default T-Lok Installation

Before everyone goes all gung-ho about how I shuld get an 8.8 rearend and how its a better investment yada yada yada....

I know. But I am 17 years old, dont have 1200 bucks laying around, and will never be supercharging, turbo charging, or even slapping dr's on the car. My car will just get me through college atleast and then I will buy a GT. And to be quite frank Im contempt with being able to beat all of my friend's cars now as it is. lol

Anyways, does anyone know the price of installation would be for the T-Lok? I havent been able to find any prices on the internet.

Thanks

Are you changing the gear ratio while you're at it? But for a rough estimate, I'd say around $300-400

And I found my complete 8.8 with a 3.73 and carbon fiber clutch packs for $250. Deals are out there....

That sounds about right. I paid $200 for a gear install, I would say $300-$400 for gears/TLok

It would just be the T-Lok. No gears.

That's really low. Did you have Kurgan do it?

OP why no gear swap? Going from 3.31 to 3.73 was one of the most noticeable mods I've done

I just dont have the cash. I dont work much because I play football and have off season workouts everyday after school. I also cant afford any change in my mpg cus its pretty ****ty as it is. I just want the t-lok so when I ever take off theres not that one lame stripe of rubber laid down. lol

Im also saving for a CAI/Tuner and wont have a tuner to have the car adjusted for the gears. And I also have to replace my tint because its starting to bubble. Things are just so expensive

just swapping out the differential makes that a easy swap. shouldnt cost too much. $100-$200 + parts

Yeah just doing the tloc is a lot less labor. Can be done in a couple hours easily.

Yea they did, but they also had the axle a few days before I went there so they pretty much just installed the gears on their own time.
