Well right now im decently happy with the sound of my v6. I got the flomaster dual exhaust. Ive been told if i get (IN TITLE) it will make it sound a lot meaner rather than just a steady roar.
Pros?
Cons?
Any personal experiences?

That is advice meant for the GT, not a V6 man. Catless, straight pipes make the V6 sound really raspy and kind of ricey. Plus, you will lose a good amount of back pressure. Unless you have power mods like a CAI/tune and gears, you will feel less acceleration.

Yeah don't do it. My buddy gave me his stock H pipe and gutted the cats out of it. It sounded amazing on my GT outside the car, but the sound entering that big hollow cat makes a crappy sounding pinging noise heard inside the car. I can only imagine how terrible it would sound on the 4.0

Going with straight pipes will give horrible raspiness at anything above 4k rpms. That advice was meant for a GT.
It's all in those extra two cylinders that makes all the difference...
In conclusion, don't do it!

I did it to mine..straight pipes, I didn't gut the cats because then you just have a hollow pipe sound. However, just straight pipes from the cats back doesn't sound bad. it does sound a little like a ricer inside the car but outside the car it sounds meaner than most. fact is bro, we have a V6, not much we do can make it sound like a V8. But everyone that hears the car outside says it sounds pretty damn good to be a V6. it's not that deep but it's not raspy either..I don't know, hard mix to describe.
