Default wtf is wrong!

For a little while now my car has not been running right. First the rpm gauge is all messed up idle below zero stays around there or moves very little when I accelerate. The problem is it rims ok if I slowly give it gas and go through the gears, but let's say im in 3rd going 40 mph and then give it some gas I can hear the engine sound like its going up but the speed won't increase. worse is if I'm cruising in 5th at 50mph and then try to give it gas to get to 60 it won't even get to 55 without sounding like its red lining . Heres a short YouTube clip of me what's happening. Any thoughts? I've heard it might be a throttle body issue

To fix the RPM gauge you have to replace the stepper motors. I don't know how to do that but there are multiple writeups on the forum, so search for "stepper motor replacement" or something like that. Clean the TB and MAF anyways because it will help out with a myriad of other issues.

Just curious, do you have any tunes or anything like that? Try cleaning them MAF and TB like I said first, and then reload any tunes or whatever.

Does your engine sound like its revving up but the speed isn't increasing?

My car's speedometer gauge acts erratically and the gas/fuel gauge does not work at all.....could this be similar to that?

Look up instrument cluster issues on Google....is yours a 2005 Mustang?

Yeah, the stepper motors in the '05's go bad. Pretty chronic...

Are you sure the car isn't accelerating? Just because the speedometer isn't changing doean't mean the car isn't changing speed as the engine winds up because if it isn't, then you could be talking tranny. The info in your description is a bit vague on this.
