To get to like 65-70 mph I have to smoothly go through the gears, if I was at the track flooring it and I go to shift at response from 2nd to 3rd it would go into third and sound like the rpms are not dropping and then I will stop accelerating and just remain at the same speed

First of all, your tachometer is clearly broken. Seperate issue.

If your spedometer is working and you have a manual transmission, your clutch seems to be slipping.

If you have an automatic, check the transmission fluid and add if low. How to do this is in your owners manual.

Start vehicle.
Apply parking brake.
Press the clutch pedal fully.
Place tranny in 3th gear.
Slowly release the clutch.
If the engine bogs down and stops running,
the clutch is deemed to be OK.
If the engine continues to run, the clutch is slipping.
The dealership would check the clutch the same way before disassembly.
