Seems kinda spendy... anyone know roughly how much the installation might be?

I am getting XCAL2 with custom tune friday. My dealer told me that an underdrive pulley wont do that much of a dramatic increase in HP (certainly not the 12-15HP gain the add implies), and the AC would suffer a lot. I am in Arizona, so I can afford to lose my AC! But he also said you would probably need a tune with this as well, so you can figure the total labor including retune is gonna cost a couple $100 if it is done right. But I dont know, I am no expert!!!

Pulleys reduce the amount of power lost powering the accesories , so there should be no need for a tune. Installing them is not that hard either and the AC part u wont even notice. Todays pulley systems are not that underdriven, when my 00Gt had pulleys i never had a problem, even with the alternator while running a sound system, and the AC worked perfectly in 95 degree weather. Just my opinion.

Ill have to agree. I dont see how an set of underdrive pulleys would need a tune when all they do is take a little drag off the engine. They dont affect timing, fuel, or air. anything that is tunable. Had them on my old car and Im in hawaii, no overheating and a/c worked fine, so did charging system. But Im sure its a case to case basis.
