Default CAI change exhaust sound?

Hey guys, got my dual 40 series flowmasters on my little v6 and I have a BBK Cold air intake on the way and my question is: will it make a difference for my exhaust? And for better or for worse? I've heard it makes it sound louder and more aggressive but i've heard the other way around as well. Any thoughts?

I just installed an Airaid CAI and it changed the sound of my stock exhaust. I'm sure it will change yours. As for better or worse?...I guess that's up to the preference of the listener. In my case, I like the change.

It was a little bit louder. In my case I think the tone or the aggression change was more noticeable compared to the actual volume.

The added sound comes from under the
hood from the CAI and not the exhaust note.

The OP may be mistaking comments that a CAI & TUNE may change/enhance the exhaust note. But as 157db stated, just a CAI won't change the exhaust note.

Indefinetly??? Yes, even after you're dead...

Actually, a tune will make your power whereas just a CAI will look pretty and not gain much.

Most folks are too busy getting off on the power increase from the CAI & tune to notice the exhaust note. With just a CAI, you have no choice to notice the sound since you're too pissed off that you didn't get a tune.

It will definately improve your exhaust sound. I had a tune and dual Flowmasters before I got my cai. Once I got the intake, the exhaust was slightly louder, deeper, and best of all, it got rid of a lot of the popping noises our V6 make.

Should i tune it first the before i put the cai on it? I know what you mean with the popping noise, mine does that as well. A tune up helps that though? I just take it to a mechanic and ask for a tune up right? Thanks for answering everything guys, youre awesome.
