4.0 to 3.7 V6
I've got a 2005 4.0 V6 and really love this car! Was wondering if anyone had looked into what it would take to swap the original motor with the new 3.7L V6? Increasing BHP by almost 1/3 sounds pretty inviting....would like to know costs associated, and just how involved a swap this would be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Would be pretty involved and the easiest way is to find a wreck to make the swap. You will need to do some fabrication for things like power steering. The 2005 uses a traditional pump set up. The 2011+ uses an electrical system.
Not only the engine, but you will need the correct transmission and driveshaft; the correct computer to run everything; probably the gauge cluster from the 2011+; wiring harness; the driveshaft ........
There is a lot more to it than just swapping engines.

I love my 2010 v6 too, so I just supercharged it. It's not a beast (285 at the wheels/auto trans), but it's sure fun to drive now! Also, it's a daily driver so I don't have the luxury of having it out of service for an engine swap. Sometime later on I'll get another one, but with a V8.
If you're really set on an engine swap then a V8 is the only way to go.
