05 Mustang GT wheels on a 05 Mustang V6
I just bought some wheels and tires from eBay. The wheels/tire package came off of a brand new 2005 Mustang GT. I got a great price break for this package from the seller who customizes brand new autos. Has anyone experienced performance problems or anything unusual with a situation like this?
Also, as information I bought the JMS CAI/SCT package about two weeks ago ($399). I will have a speed shop install this Columbus Day. I read that some people have had problems...or abnormal results with this package. Please post your. comments. Hambone---how are you doing?

Yo kingstrunner,
My JMS CAI/Xcal2 is still "a work in progress".... We are getting there---at this point, they are working with Ford about an apparent shifting issue I am seeing (and at least one other V6 fellow has seen this, too). The CAI is in, I'm running an economy tune, and no longer getting the check engine lights (CEL). There is however a strange shift from 2nd to 3rd--that is what JMS is currently working on. By strange I mean it feels "harder" than the other shifts, and I hear a "kthunk" sound, too. Hopefully their discussions with Ford will get it sorted out.
So, hopefully in another day or two I'll have some new tunes to test. I will post a long narrative about my saga in a few days
To be honest, the whole ordeal is taking much longer than I had expected.... [&:]
My advice to you? Be sure that your unit will load the tunes into your car. Depending on when your XCal2 was loaded, it may have the same problem mine did when it arrived (SCT software glitch that hosed the tunes). Or, they may have fixed it in yours...
You can easily test this without putting on the CAI. Just load the Economy tune. The Xcal2 will backup your stock tune to the unit when you first connect/load, so it is stored for you. If the economy tune loads, you're set--and can then flash it back to the stored stock tune.
I'd hate to see you get to the shop and start the billing clock only to find out that you need new tunes emailed to you from JMS!!
