Default New Wheels / Suspension Drop?

HI! So I just put on some new Axis Angle Wheels (20x9) all around as well as General G-Max 03 Tires (255-35-20), and the rear appears to be sitting much higher than the front now. I'm looking for thoughts on suspension drop. I think I only would want the rear dropped, but I'm not sure I'm a newbie. Thanks!

Yes, the rear does sit higher with stock springs. I went with the Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs which lowers the rear 1.5" and the front 1.3".
I've read a couple of threads where some members lowered the rear with Steeda lowering springs and left the fronts stock.
I am not sure of the pros and cons by only lowering the rear only.
Others may ping in.....

Lowering springs definitely make the car look much more aggressive and cornering is a lot tighter. However, the comfort of your ride will feel a bit more rough, especially with 20 inch wheels. I have 20" Cobra R's and I can feel every piece of debri, dip, bump and pot hole on the road. LOL

Are those "Cobra" decals on your red painted calipers?

I'm afraid so :\...

As far as lowering you could always go with the Steeda rear springs as mentioned before, levels out the car well.

I just put on a set of SR Performace springs from American muscle and they are excellent. They are suppose to drop the front and rear 1.5". They only cost me $179 and the ride and handling is comparable to the more expensive springs like the Eibachs. The car corners soooo much better and the overall ride and feel is much better. No more backend squat on acceleration and no more diving of the front end on braking. Also wheel hop has been greatly reduced and the car is much more stable overall.

OP,

Take a look at the SR Performance lowering springs as IamNobody mentioned. They're a budget spring that performs and looks great. We've equipped most of our AM company cars with this same spring and I can't say enough good things about it.

If you want to get rid of the wheel gap, the SR Springs are one of the best options!

Are the SR springs made in USA?

They were designed in the States, but are resourced over Sea's. I can vouch for their quality as can tons of other forum members. You won't be disappointed!

That's a shame. I'm sure they work just fine but I would rather spend the little extra for American made, for the principle if nothing else.

To the OP, I think your ride would look great if you put them on all four corners, but that being said it would be better to have more drop on the rear than up front. Look at kevin's for example, i think his sits very nice, from what i can see in his sig. JMO
