Hey guys, first post, I have a weird issue here.

My '13 needs to go through emissions but the tech refused to run it, citing "Loose DLC". This cord has been hanging for quite some time & never bothered me. I couldn't find the damn place to insert it back into. Upon having the mechanic take a look, he said the bracket it goes into is just gone.

I called 2 separate Ford dealers and got 2 different answers. One says I can just buy the pigtail set for $56. The other said no, I have to buy the entire harness for $200+. Now I don't know which one to believe.
I have also tried to look on Ebay for a bracket - found this one that fits the mechanic's description - but I have no idea if that's correct or where I'm supposed to screw it in. I've also called every salvage yard in town & nobody has a Mustang I can pull from (which would have also showed me exactly where in the car it goes).

Could someone help me out here somehow? I would so greatly appreciate it!

That's just stupid, they can still test it. Too lazy to hold the thing while they plug
it in.

Also? it's not hard to make a bracket, or even a place to put it:


I installed mine right in the lower dash panel, different car. I don't have it anymore, but I still have
the "Y" adapter.

You can use that bracket though, screw it in anywhere it will hold.
