Default Map Lights

I just purchased a 2014 Mustang v6 Premium. On Tuesday I switched out the old headlight switch and put in a new one for Automatic headlights. When I start the car the map lights come on and stay on till the car is turned off. Does anyone else have this problem. The automatic headlights work with the new switch, but I have the problem with the map lights staying on. Please help. Thanks.

If you push the on/off button for the map lights do they go out? Is the "wheel" adjuster (dims your instruments panel but also turns on the map light if turned all the way) on the switch you put in turned to the "on" position for the map lights?

Jim,
Thank you very much. It was the adjuster wheel for the gauge lights. I didn’t know it was that way. I figured it had to be something really simple.
Thanks again.

I'm glad you "fixed" it!

Others have done the same thing over the years. Often when cleaning the car they will hit that wheel and turn it to the "on".
