Default Front Bushing HELP

Hey everyone,

Looking for advice on an annoying issue. Here’s the situation:
  • Car: 2013 Mustang V6 Convertible, 171k miles
  • Problem: Front sway bar bushings have been shot for a while—thought it was struts at first
  • Found out my sway bar is 33.3mm
  • Ford doesn't sell bushings for this size
  • Bought Energy Suspension 33mm poly bushings (was told slightly smaller was better to avoid play)
  • Had them installed at Mustang Magic (Long Island)
  • Squeaked worse than OEM bushings within a day
  • Reinstalled with Formula 5 grease — quiet for 2 weeks, then squeak came back
  • Sprayed silicone last week — helped temporarily, but squeak returned today
  • Noise mainly coming from driver’s side bushing
Trying to avoid replacing the whole bar. My options/questions:
  • Are there rubber bushings that fit a 33.3mm bar?
  • Worth trying to re-grease with a needle and grease gun?
  • Any other proven fixes without dropping big $$?
Appreciate any tips—thanks!

If you have the stock sway bar then the OEM for the car should fit. What are you using to measure the sway bar? Where are you making your measurement?
the two option are 32mm and 34mm . There is no 33 mm. Go to rock auto for options.

poly bushings will almost always squeak, especially is they are too small on the inside diameter or outside diameter. They are very unforgiving.
