Default GT takeoff question

Quick question, can you just simply bolt on a single GT takeoff muffler for a V6 or is it going to requre some welding or cutting to make it fit correctly?

Yes, it is a simple bolt on if you are only talking the passanger side. For the driver side you have to have a dual configuration set up. I had the passanger side GT muffler bolt on in less than 30 minutes.

Rygen is right..it's a simple bolt on. And it's worth doing!!

If you want to hear the various sounds (V6 stock vs. single GT vs. dual GT) on a V6, check out the links to some video/sound clips I made in this thread:

Those clips were what inspired me too try out the take offs, but I want to hear them in real life.

agreed, any recording distorts it, i recorded the stock one to see what it sounded like outside the car, and it sounded super ricey in the lower 3,000's... then i got my dad to rev it while i standed outisde and it sounded nothing like it, much deeper.

Yeah, if you listen to hambones clip of the v6 with stock muffler, it doesent capture the true sound of the v6 we all know. The GT takeoff, however, sound pretty damn good for a sound clip.

Trust me, you will be impressed with the difference the stock GT muffler makes to our cars.

I'd love to hear it. I cant wait to get ahold of a muffler, but i cant bring myself to pay too much for it.
