If it were me, I'd go with 3.73 gears and a t-lok. As Jthorn9 said, you might have to save a bit more, but it'd be worth it.
why, do it right first, 4.10s, and t-lok, especially since you guys have all 5 speed transmitions. its not the gears that kill your gas milage, its your right foot.

i always thought to go with 3.73s, then 03Yellow came in and swore up and down on 4.10s, a while ago a friend of mine asked me what to do, i figured to myself, ur a lucky rich @$$hole anyways, go 4.10 gears, he got 20 mpg in a GT. i get 22 im my 6er with 3.27s.
you also need to take into consideration what type of driving you do... the 4.10s in our cars might get a little old if you do a lot of 80MPH commuting... For me my 15 mile commute is mainly at 60MPH so the RPMs are ok..... at 80MPH I'm turning just uner 3000RPM and I have oversized tires... stock tires, 4.10s at 80MPH is some where around 3000RPM or perhaps a bit more...
have you personally ever had 4.10s in a car? or was it your friend heard from someone who heard from a friend?

He was talking about me. DO have 4.10's and the T-Lok...And I wouldn't have it any other way. And mine turns about 2900 RPM at 75 mph. Still wouldn't have it any other way. Do the 4.10's. You'll kick yourself later if you go with 3,73's..

Weird, I'm at 2100'ish RPM at 70, and 80 is around 2500'ish RPM....but when I'm doing these speeds, I'm pretty gentle on the gas. I will do it again tomorrow morning and repost.
something is off somewhare... used a couple of the different calculators...

the 5th gear ratio is .71 for auto and .72 for manual..... 70MPH is 2500 to 2600... 80MPH is around 2800... These number correspond pretty close to what I'm seeing...

So would 4.10's be better if I plan on adding a tc or sc later? I heard that they make a wine noise on the highway, is that true.

What do the 4.10 gears really do? The t-lok makes both wheels spin correct? Do you need the gears to have the T-lok. Would just the T-lok be worth the money. Im just unsure of what the new gears would actually do?

they will knock alot off your Et cause they cause the driveshaft to spin more, which means it gets into the power band quicker

Ok cool, so could I get the T-lok alone or would I need the gears. Would the t-lok alone even be worth the money without the gears?

The TLOK is definitely worth it, even without the gears, but when it comes to hourly labor costs, it is much cheaper to do both at the same time because the mechanic has to take the rear end apart. It is worth saving up to do it, but if you never plan to touch the gears then definitely go with just the tlok. Have you ever launched from a stop light and feel the rear end shimmy a bit???? The tlok gets rid of that, nice solid straight launch.

Just my two cents.
