v6 exhaust

RE: v6 exhaust
Just starting to consider mods to my exhaust system. I have the V6 engine with Automatic. A friend is upgrading his GT and offered me his stock mufflers. Will these perform better than the original mufflers on my V6 ? Can I just replace the single or would I need to convert to dual.

RE: v6 exhaust
Thanks for your comment on the GT muffler. Did you see any change in the V6's performance or was there only a change in the sound. I've hear the V6 engines need more back pressure than the V8 to get maximum horsepower. Installing the GT muffler could be a issue. What was your experience.
