Just installed my AFE CAI and...
the check engine light came on. Is this because there is a big difference in air entering the engine? Do I just have to wait for the engine light to go out? Is there something I need to do?

I literally just put my AFE CAI in as well, finished about 20 minutes ago. My Check Engine Light didn't go off. I got the AFE specifically because it isn't supposed to set it off and you don't need a tune (though one will certainly help). You might go back and make sure you did everything properly and all the connections are tight.

Exactly what I was going to ask... make sure the maf sensor is facing the right way, it will say "flow" with an arrow, make sure it is pointed from the intake towards the tubing.

yes the bat was diconnected, but I only diconnected the negative. I checked and the maf sensor is facing the right way, away from the filter. I have no clue

Fixed it. I just disconnected the batery, loosened everything and tightened them taking my time and making sure everything was perfect. I then put the MAF in checking all of the wires and electrical tape making sure it was tight. Then I connected the batery and took the car for a 20 or so minute test drive. The light hasn't been on since and I hope it stays that way. Thx all for your help
