Hey guys, with the holidays over and my wallet now loaded up i was going to go out and buy an X-cal 2, however when i went to Sct's site yeatureday, www.sctflash.com , i was greeted by a NEW tuner, the SCT X-cal FS, I have no idea what to do! all i know is the old X-cal2 was 400 bucks, and thsi ones is almost 500! can soemone maybe fill me in on what they added or what this one does better then the orignal x-cal2?

It has less capabilites than the xcal2. Id doesnt have the ability to utilize the Advantage III software. The nice thing about the SF is the on screen data logging. No need to hook it up via USB to datalog.

Im not positive that it CANT use the advantage software, but they sure arent advertising it. The price difference between the 2 seems to be the FS's ability to datalog on the actual device, this is a feature that the xcal2 does not have. I think if your going to be getting dyno tuned i would get the xcal2, just because most tuners are running the software for the xcal2's. Not to say that you cant get a dyno tune with the FS, but i think you will get charged more because it would be a complete bitch to dyno tune it with only a handheld.
