I am going to purchase a mustang i would rather have a v6 for my first car for gas and cheaper to buy but idk if thier is enough power in it i have drove one but i havent drove a GT?
And top end i dont need any faster than 120 is good enough for me i like acceleration and cornering do you think that a v6 would be good enough for me or should i step up to the GT

To be honest... a 300 hp monster is not a swell idea for most first time car owners (yes, there are always exceptions). The V6 is plenty quick and really takes to mods. The V6 is speed limited to about 115 due to the stock tires' speed rating. An X-cal will remove the speed limiter (amongst other improvements) to easily get you to 120.

Yep, I have to echo here. A v6 would be better cost, insurance and saftey wise for a first car. At your age, you will get raped on insurance with a V8.

The 6 also DOES take to mods VERY well, and for a v6, a 4.0 is relativly large so its quick to begin.
Fun Fact- the mustang v6's engine, the 245 4.0L v6, comes out of the explorer, so you know its got... well.. enough? power to get ya goin.

Get an 06 "Pony Package" V6, then you get the front and rear sway bars and wheels of the GT for handling but the practicality of a V6. I added these features to my 05 V6 and it made a big difference. Good Luck!
