Default MMR Throttle Body Spacer

Greetings,

Just wanted to share some information with the V6 guys & gals. I ordered the new intake/throttle body spacer from MMR, with shipping $68.89. I spoke with them today before ordering the item, and this is what they had to say:

5rwhp & better response on a completely stock vehicle

6rwhp & better response on a vehicle with a cold air intake

8rwhp & better response with a more modified vehicle (headers, dual exhaust, CAI, tune, etc.)

I was questioning this modification, until we figured out the 100cc intake plenum volume increase and releiving the space right behind the throttle blade. I can only see these couple things adding something like an increase in throttle response, but no sure about gains of 5-6rwhp. We will see when I go back to the dyno next time. I will have this new spacer, revised muffler, Royal Purple synthetics in engine/trans/axle, and 4.10 gears with T-Lok the next dyno run in late Feburary. I look to have about another 10rwhp, with these new mods. That would put me around 217rwhp. I look forward to adding the PHP Alternator pulley, JBA headers, and lightweight driveshaft by the end of April. I am thinking this set of mods may be worth an additonal 18rwhp, which could put me to 235rwhp.

Hope this helps everyone! I look forward to meeting up with everyone at the track this spring, for some cool V6 racing!

I have heard alot of negative and positive responses as to the HP gains, but I have spent alot more than $70 trying to get a few more HPs....lol. So $70 doesn't sound too bad, I think I'll give it a try as well.

what kind of installation would it take to install this? is it something that you would need to take to a shop?

it nothing serious...you just remove the throttle body and place the spacer behind it...and use the longer bolts
