Default exhaust clip

He guys just picked my car up from the exhaust shop. I installed a set of Stock Gt mufflers and a Bassani X pipe

It starts out at 2k then to 3k and 4k..enjoy

I am sure the question will be asked so here it is
X pipe $150 Ebay
Stock GT take off $75 Ebay
Install $80

One question:
at idle there is a vibration, not major but it is noticeable. Other then that It sounds and feels great all through the rpms and speed. is that common? should i worry about it screwing something up

Sounds pretty deep, maybe an x-pipe would help the sound of my car. When i got my car back from the exaust shop it vibrated at idle really bad and rattled at about 2,000 rpm while driving, so i took it back to them and the driver side pipe was touching the frame, so they fixed it free of charge. Id take it back and see what they think.

I just installed my GT takeoffs also. I love them, they were the exact sound I was going for ! I also have a slight vibration at idle, usually after the engine is fully warmed up which could mean that it is idling a bit lower than usual due to the relief of exhaust pressure compared to stock. I don't think its a big deal (Ive heard of this before) but if you do take it back it would be nice to know what they say.

Also, which I forgot, the GT mufflers no longer have the balance weight that stopped the vibration on the stock muffler. My guess would be that this is the cause.

yah there is a weight on the muffler and there was also one on the pipe about mid car. He was saying somthing about might having to put that back on the pipe, He was not sure how he would do that because now the the driver side pipe is in the way. but he thought he might be able to angle it above the pipe. he told me to drive it and see what happens if it does not get better he told me to bring it back. I just wanted to see if any one else is having issues

thanks

Hmmm, that's strange. I've got dual GTs on mine and there is no vibration at idle. I don't have any dampeners either. I do get a slight buzz when passing through 2k under acceleration, but it had that with the stock single exhaust too.

Do you know if that X-Pipe bolted right up to the stock exhaust manifolds?
Thanks,
Dave

Just went out and put the car up on a curb to see under there and the x pipe is welded up about 6-8 inches back from the cats you should not have a problem putting a gt h pipe on the v6

looks like it lines up like it should

good luck
