Default 1/4 times for 05-06 v6

I was just wondering because this one guy on another forum doesnt think they are capable of running high 14's in the 1/4 with a manual tranny. So if anyone knows their stock times let me know. Thanks.

I don't think anyone here has run in the 14's with a 100% stock V6... the magazines likes the V6 at 15.3 with the automatic..

15.3 with an auto is pretty damn quick for a v6. I think a good driver with a 5 speed could dip into the 14's.

The new automatic is pretty darn good.... in a 100% stock configuration the manual will be a little quicker... but I don't know if it can make up .3... I don't think anyone here who's gone to the track went when the car was still 100% stock.. I could be wrong...

Oh ok, but even gears, exhaust, and intake should get it into the 14's.

Fazm got in the 14's with a K&N, SCT and muff. I think he hit 14.7. Not 100% sure on his exact mods but I'm pretty sure that was what he had at the time. Hes about to add a LSD, gears, pulley and I think a CAI. But it is possible with a good driver and some mods.

EDIT: I looked up his sig, here is what he got and with what mods:

2005 Redfire Mustang v6 5spd man.
SCT2 with 91 performance tune
K&N intake system
14.73 @ 1200 feet(14.54 corrected to sealevel)

Here is his profile if you want to PM him:

I agree. FAZM did a 14.7 with just a CAI and tune. I'm thinking that bone stock a manual would hit 14.9. The biggest problem would be traction since the V6 has an open rearend. Drop the RR tire pressure down to about 20-25PSI and I think 14.7-14.8 is doable. But like you said, you'd have to be a pretty good driver.

The thing to remember is even a manual will suffer from the throttle delay without a tune... A good tune may shave more off your ET than a CAI... just a thought

Hate to say it but the v6 auto will only do a 15.9 in the 1/4. Check out this web site. I believe a great driver with a manual trans might make a mid 15. Just a guess.
