STRANGE ENGINE NOISE
After installing my GT takeoff Ive noticed a kinda annoying noise below 10 mph. Im not sure if it started because of the exhaust but Ive just noticed it. The only way I can describe it would be to put a penny in a Coke can and slowly turn it on its side. It stops after I get moving, but its kinda annoying beacuse it sounds like an old car. She has less than 2000 miles on her and the only thing I can think of would be the accessory belt. Is this normal noise (im kinda nerotic lol) or should I be concerned. I live in the desert and Im not sure how long the car was at the dealership but the belt shouldn't have gone through our 110 summers since its an 06 and its currently winter (well 70, but its cold for us lol).

I installed my single gt takeoff this weekend...I have the exact same sound. It is very disturbing, but the sound of the muffler when I take off makes me feel better.

RE: ENGINE NOISE QUESTION
Ok, so I just went outside, started her, and popped the hood. I determined that it is coming somewhere toward the bottom of the engine and it sounds like a knock but not very evident. Also when I stop, at a light for example, it seems to have a shudder. Also, its probably normal, but the pulley in direct contact with the engine is not completly balanced and kinda wobbles. When I had my truck, after I got my oil changed at my local shop, it started this also, SAME SOUND but a little louder cause of the V8! Is this a coincidence and could the type of oil they carry allow more sound through than others or are they over/under filling it (don't have the oil gauge so can't tell)?
Im sure most of these are normal but they are all I can think of...
OR (just thought of this), it might be an exhaust leak from somehow changing the muffler...
any ideas...LOL?
