Default slowing down sequential tail lights

New to forum, so forgive my errors.
Recently purchased 2007 Mustang V6 and installed Web Electrics seq.
tail lights. They work fine but I wish I could slow them down a little.
In 68, I had no Shelby's in my area. However, a 68 Cougar crashed in
my front yard with the seq turn signals on. I've been hooked ever since.
Since the 2007 has no flasher and runs thru the smart junction, I have
been unable to find a way to slow down the sequence to make it a more
pronounce display instead of a fast blink, blink, blink. I contacted Ford and
Web Electrics, but neither could offer any suggestions.

If any of you have any suggestions, they would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I added an additional 1uf electrolytic capacitor to the flasher relay. My car is an '03 so I am not sure if this would work the same for yours.

bruthru2003,
I assume you mean your 03 has a separate flasher module. If so, the 07 is
run thru that wonderful thing they call a smart module and has no separate module.
There is no mention in owner's manual for a fuse or relay for turn signals.

I need a qualified automotive electrical expert to answer this one for me. I want to slow down the speed of my Web Electrics Seq. tail lights. If I added a front turn signal wiring harness, tapping off the existing wiring harness on both sides, would it slow down the rear flash seq by the added load. I would have to seal the lamps from the weather and I was figuring to just have them shine downward or toward the engine.

Just a thought.....

I think you will have to solder resistors into each individual lead going to the lights, using different values for each (in ascending order from inside to outside). Other than that you are looking at bypassing the relay for the sequentials and replacing it with a slower one or finding a way to wire a potentiometer into the feed from the relay so that you can adjust it. Without looking at the circuit for this particular unit this is, of course, all speculation. Wiring in front turn signals doesn't seem to be the most cost effective or professional route as there are much cheaper and cleaner ways to generate a load on an electrical circuit. I think what you're shooting for is delaying each individual bulb response so that they light up with more of a time gap in between. While the turn signal splice would generate a load it would only very slightly delay the pulse getting to the rear bulbs and not the timing of the bulb flashes individually.

My understanding from Web Electrics is that the speed and timing is run entirely by the SJB (since this model does not have a separate flasher module. I believe that they say if you could slow down the signal to flash from the SJB, the turn signals would slow down. I'm not sure if it would or not. I'm afraid the individual lights would still flash as fast and the only slow down would be the pause before the next seq starts. I thought Drake's seq might be my only answer but a fellow member sent me video of most of their settings and I was not impressed, just depressed.
