Hey guys... im new here, moving from Europeto California this month to go to school, and i just bought a Mustang GT, and i wondered if you are allowed in the state of CA to remove the front lisence plate.... well, if it'sagainst the law,do you get fined if you do it?
Welcome to the forums. Well on my 91 jeep cherokee, I don't have a front plate and haven't had any issues with it. May I ask what part of California you are moving to?
im moving to right outside of L.A... i just heard that its illegal somewhere in the United States while some states allow the front lisence plate to be taken off so i was curious...
You are probably moving to L.a county or Orange County, Umm yes it is Illegal, And trust me the cops over here will try to book you on any litle thing.
From Bay area and up here its just a fixit ticket if you get stopped which is rare here and all you do is just put it on, pay a $10 or $20 fine and get it signed off by another officer then just remove it again, Personally I still have my window registration in the corner of the window from over a year ago so maybe that'll hold 'em off [sm=smiley2.gif]
