I'm going to the Streets of Willow on 2/9 to take my pony out onto the tracks.
Redline track events is running this whole show. It is very organized and pretty safe (unless you do something stupid)
It's not drag raciing. You are taking your car out onto a paved tracks with turns, banked turns, straightways, fish bowl turn..

It's $150 per driver per car. You get 5 runs. Each run is about 8 laps on a 1.8 mile long track
YOu do need to pay an $10 per person entrance fee into the Raceway.

btw, you don't need to get your car up to par (if it's the one pictured in the sig).
I ran my car almost fully stock, the only modification being the pro kit springs.
I've seen a /94 toyota camry and a chrysler pacifica do it

Do i need a helmet i dont have one but im most likely down if i can get the cash together

 

Yes you definitely need a helmet. Needs to be Snell rated
