My new 19"wheels are the same diameter as the stock 17" wheels on my 2007 GT, whichhas a 27" Diameter. Would I need any alignment? Or can I just install my new wheels an go stanging, worry free?

If it has been a while since your last alignment then it would be a good idea to have it done. Just changing your wheels as you described should not require an alignment.
