What does this figure mean? Will a Nitto 555R drag radial last as long as a straight 555? Assume equal driving habits for both.

One has a treadwear rating of 3.1 and the other has a rating of 8.3.

 

No the tread wear is a number tha manufactureres use to tell basically how hard the tire is.(to keep it simple)
But no the nitto 555 drag will absolutlutlynot last as long a s a straight 555. The drag is super soft for grip.

 

But a drag radial with a higher depth tread could theoretically last just as long right?

 

because of the softerrubber its very doubtful.
