Default Fail Inspection! Help

So my buddie failed inspection this morning. He needs tires and an alignment. Hes Mustang is lowered so im guessing new camber/caster bolts?? Anyone know what he should go withon that. On the tires he needs something aggessive. Its only spring summer fall car and has never seen rain yet. So he wants something that will hook on the road and track. Any one know of a nice tire? (Front 265 35 18 Rear 285 35 18)

Hes not looking to the cheap way.

Mods on car. Cold air intake, Throttle body, Diablo Tuner, 410 gears. (yes its tuned for 410s)

Mods going on car in 2 weeks. Shorty headers, X-Pipe 2.5" (no cats), X-pipe back 2.5" with Flowmaster mufflers.

Failed inspection????

What model we talkin' here? SN95, New Edge or S197? (guessing the latter) Did "inspector" give a report on what needed to be repaired/corrected? I don't know of any laws referring to caster/camber settings on the street, barring extreme like 10 degrees or something, but tires likely the prob here. I run Toyo R888's on my Summer wheels and are D.O.T. rated but NOT good for rain/wet conditions. I recommend them as they are wonderful on the street and many racers use them as well.

No it just needs an alignment and tires. thats it. the camber/caster is what he wants to do because with his car being lowered its wearing on the inside of the tires alot more than outside is. He just wants to put them on so when he gets the new tires they wont wear as fast.

ill look into those R888s

You just need to install new tires and have the camber placed back to stock specs. Any tire/wheel place should be able to do this for your friend. The car will not corner as well with less camber though so it is a trade-off

EDIT: I can also recommend the Michelin PS2's as I run them on my Winter set of wheels. VERY nice tire for year-round and quite a bit less expensive than the R888's
