Deepest/biggest looking 18" black bullitt wheels
Hey guys,
I'm in the market for new wheels/tires. And I am going the 18" route, But I really don't want my wheels to look way too small. I've seen some cars that can make 18"s look like 20's, and then some cars have 18"s that don't look a centimeter bigger then a 17" stocker. Can people please post pictures of their 18" setups?? Preferably black w/ chrome lip. But any would be a great reference, thanks.

Best bet is to do some searching around the forums. 18"s are a great choice and the "appearace" of the diameter is due to several things. Lower profile tires, chrome/black lip (as mentioned) and how much fender clearance there is. MANY really prefer 20"s, so you won't find as many 18"s out there on '05+ Stangs.
You will commonly see 9"s & 10"s on an S197 reguardless of 18"s~20"s.

20's were my original plan, however I just hear they are far to much of an inconvenience. And I really don't want to lose too much performance. I'll have an Eibach Pro kit on my car, so that should make a difference. But for the best diameter appearance, which size tire should a run. A more thick, or low profile?

Only you can decide what profile looks good on your ride.
I am not sure what people mean by "inconveneince" with 20"s. Tires tend to be more expensive, so maybe that is it. I prefer a lower profile as I am not into 1/4 mile and love the responsiveness of a low-pro tire (LOVE the look as well )
As for function, you will have more options running an 18" due to additional clearance to wells (you have TONS with the S175 already). If you decide to stay higher profile, 45+ series, you can fill the well-gap and still have a nice ride if that is what you are after. If you went 20"s, you are pretty much stuck with 35~40 series sizes.
I will ask the same question I ask EVERYONE who is in your position. What kind of driving do you do? 1/4 mile? Just street cruisin'? Twisties ?....

My car will have a set of M/T's for the track, however. I just hear alot about 20's rubbing, being too heavy, etc.
But 07q, thats exactly how i want them to look. But bullitt deep dish. What suspension are you running? Also your tire size?
