What Combo
I'm throwing down the cash for some new rims on the stock 89 gt fox.
wondering if there will be any clearance issues with this rim
http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...0%201&comp=LRS
I was thinking of running that deep dish 10" in the back with 8" up front but i didnt know if there will be clearance issues on that 10".
They also have a 9" rim in the same style without the deep dish
I like the way the stance looks with deep dishes on the back.
Any input? Using the car as a cruiser around town, and i want it looking tip top!

Yes, you WILL have issues running a 10" out back.
You will have to remove your quad-shocks, roll the fenders and take a hammer to the inside of the well at the very least. There is one person I know running a 9" out back of his Fox Body. I had 1" spacer so he could leave his quads, but rolled the fenders. If he removed the spacers, he had to remove the quads and I think still had rubbing. He is 88Mach1 ***HERE*** is a thread with some info.
I ran 17"x8" with 245/40/18"s and was fine for many years on nearly a 2" drop. I had no issues, but as 88Mach1, could have gone 9"s and made it work.

I guess i'm going 8's all around.
Whats a good tire size for the rear and front. I want it to have a little more agressive stance than stock.
EDIT: I'm sad...i cant find any deep dish 8's in that style to throw out back. oh wellllll. Still lookin for tire sizes though!

Tire sizes and widths are going to depend on the look you want as well as the type of driving you will be doing. Do you want larger rims and lower profile for twisties?
Do you want higher profile for comfortable ride or launching?
Hit up TomZwheels.com (new site sponsor) and has LOTS of styles. They can also custom build wheels to your off-set specs. This will allow you to push the width of wheels and minimize likelyhood of rubbing. You will also be able to get a deep-dish wheel due to low off-set of your ride.

I'm looking for higher profile in the back, lower in the front, but not so much lower that i have to worry about driveability
Well, I just don't see that 10" wheel fitting without some 2.5# sledge work and missing quads. I think you will need to run a 40 series out back to clear.
The ad says for '79~03 Stangs, so ask seller for some fitment issues and pics of other customers who have purchased. I am here to tell you, those are gonna be tight!

Tires should always be chosen based on your driving needs and tempered by your budget.
I run the Michelin PS2 on my Winter wheels and run Toyo R888's on my Summer wheels. The PS2 are gonna be more expensive than many tires and will not likely get more than 20K out of them. They are a wonderful traction tire for the twisties and just fine in the rain. There are MANY tires out there for a lot less $$$ that will likely fill your needs just fine if you want good DD tires.
Whut track we talkin' hee? 1/4 or open?
Jazzer askin' you not to fuggettabout good tires

Boy, based on my conversations with 88Mach1, I am really suprised that a 17"x10" wheel is recommended for the Fox Body by Am. Muscle. They have always been very good with fitment in my experience.
I would give them a call and get into specifics on fitment as that seems VERY tight to me and I see no caveats re: install.

EDIT: I take that back. Here is what site says:
The Black SC Style Wheels replicate the look of the SC Rims that were extremely popular on the Fox body Mustangs in the early 90's. These 17x10 SC Style rims are a perfect match for the 17x9 SC Style rims for a muscular staggered look. The Black SC Style 17x10 rims are for use on the rear only. Removal of the rear quad shocks may be necessary for proper fitment.
