Default Will 97 rims work on a S197?

My friend has a 2005 V6 S197 and I plan on selling him my rims and tires. Will the 1996 17x7s with 245/45/17 tires fit? or will they look a little weird?

They will most likely stick out more than the stock ones will since the offset is different.

You are looking at roughly 3/4" difference in off-set as BA mentioned. The wheels/tires you have listed should not be an issue.
