I just picked up a set of 18" FR500's and Nexen 3000 tires. 275/35 out rear and 245/40 up front I think. I want to start off by saying that I do not like the fitment of the rears, especially. I can bare the front,s but the rears look like crap. I should of went with a 295.

Has anyone ran these Nexen 3000's? Traction sucks meaning I didnt hook worth crap at the track. But I have to stick with them cuz I bought em.

I was also wondering what the ideal size or DR and waht brand I should run on my stock, 17x8's. Thanks guys.

 

The traction issue you mention does not suprise me at all, unfortunately

One look at the tread pattern and UTQG, and would expect less than great lateral grip as well as a poor launch.

Sounds like you want to install some stickey's on your OEM Bullits? If so, I will not be of much help with the DR's other than to forgo the Bullits and pick up a set of 15"x10" wheels to have the much needed sidewall hight for launching. This will allow you to run some much wider tires and improve those times off the launch pad.

They are the starfish wheels or whatever everyone refers to them as lol. I do not want to mess with buying new wheels...I just want to throw some DR's on my stockers. It sounds like it would make a pretty big difference.

Any idea what the best size if for my 17x8's? I was looking and could really only find 275's from Nitto and M/T.
