Dude, your build sounds awsome!!!!! Since you want to drive it on the street occassionally, you'll want drag radials. But, since you obviously have a deep wallet, get a set of slicks for the back, and a set of drag radials for the street. Are you going to race 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile? Hoosiers for 1/8, Goodyears for 1/4. For the street, the new Nitto NT05R is an awsome tire.

Hoosier Quicktime Pro or M/T Et Street. You can use the ET Street Radial as well, but it will not be as forgiving on track conditions or suspension setup.

Could you please explain why you say that?

My dad runs Mickey Thompson ET Streets at the track on his '66 fastback. He gets great traction, but he is only running 475 hp, sounds like you will be running much more than that. With that kind of power, you might want to invest in a separate set of drag slicks.

yeah, just remember, all that power is no good if you cant put it to the ground. I had to move drag radials to the front of my mod list after a few trips down the track with street tires...and thats only with 300+ horsepower. I would much rather put the money toward other things, but they will just make me spin my tires more...
